Definitions
Device - A single entity composed of physical ports, such as a switch or switch stack, which can be polled in aggregate via a single interface.
Logical Port - A grouping of ports which is used as a single connection, for instance a LAG or 802.1ad port group.
Physical Port - A physical network connection point on a device.
Virtual Port - A subdivision of a Physical or Logical port, such a VLAN. Port that a peering session is built on.
